ABOUT ME
HISTORY- I was born April 14, 1960 in Burke, SD. My family consisted of my parents and three younger brothers. I attended Herrick Grade School and graduated from Burke High School in 1978. |
EDUCATION- I attended SDSU and BHSC graduating with a degree in Child Development and Family Relations with an elementary endorsement through a coop program between the two schools. |
CURRENT FAMILY- I married Terry Leischner in May of 1985 and now have three children; Michael, a freshman; Jenaya, an eighth grader; and Darcy a fifth grader. My husband and I farm in the Parkston area. We are involved in the UCC Church with the youth and music and are involved in 4-H as a family. Attending PHS sporting and music events, plus baseball games are things that we enjoy as a family. |
WORK HISTORY- I taught second grade for one year in Burke, SD. After getting married and starting our family, I helped on the farm and did some babysitting for other families. In 1992, I worked as an aide for the preschool program in Parkston and the following year started teaching the lower elementary grades at Old Elm Springs Colony, where I am currently teaching. |
